According to Главком: A new professional holiday has been established in Ukraine: Unmanned Systems Forces Day, to be observed every year on June 11. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko made the announcement, highlighting that the holiday recognizes the critical role unmanned systems play in modern warfare and national defense.

Why Unmanned Systems Forces Matter

Ukraine became the first country in the world to create a separate branch of the military dedicated to unmanned systems. According to Svyrydenko, these forces

“were the first globally to demonstrate how nonlinear approaches can defeat a nuclear empire.”

Under a draft presidential decree, June 11 will now honor the Unmanned Systems Forces-a day for those who changed the rules of engagement and upended old military doctrines.

The prime minister emphasized that this day is dedicated to:

• those who conduct reconnaissance;
• calculate and analyze;
• develop new technologies;
• plan operations;
• execute missions;
• launch and strike targets.

Svyrydenko stressed that members of the Unmanned Systems Forces carry out unique work with drones, destroying enemy equipment, logistics, command centers, and executing long-range strikes.

“You not only destroy the enemy-you make sure the world sees it and believes in Ukraine,”

she added.

The establishment of Unmanned Systems Forces Day marks a key milestone in honoring the efforts of Ukrainian military personnel and the innovative technologies that help defend the country.
