Ukrainians are reminded that the preferential tariff for electric heating is coming to an end

Ukrainians have been reminded of the expiration of the preferential tariff for electric heating after the heating season concludes. The reduced price applies only if the system is officially registered. This is reported by Znaj.ua.

During the heating period, the state establishes a special price for electricity for households where electric heating is the primary source of heat. However, simply using heaters is not enough. The system must be registered and put into operation according to the requirements.

Preferential tariff for electric heating: conditions for receiving a discount

Energy workers emphasize: «The benefit is valid only when electric heating is registered according to all rules and confirmed with documents».

To receive the reduced tariff, the homeowner must submit a package of documents, including:

• passport of the distribution point with a note about the use of electric heating

• technical passport of the building

• a copy of the system project.

After verification, the data is entered into the records, and the consumer obtains the right to preferential payment.

Tariff for electricity for heating: how much can be saved

Currently, the special price is 2.64 UAH per kWh within 2000 kWh per month. If the consumption exceeds this limit, each additional kilowatt costs 4.32 UAH.

Thus, controlling electricity usage allows for real cost savings. The preferential tariff will be in effect until April 30, 2026, after which the conditions may be reviewed.
