Ukrainians actively compare prices for meat and bacon in supermarkets and at markets, looking for ways to save on their family budget. According to the Minfin portal, prices indeed vary from seller to seller.
For example, beef shoulder at the market can cost from 295 to 315 hryvnias per kilogram, while bacon costs from 130 to 160 hryvnias. Meanwhile, prices in supermarkets are slightly higher: beef goulash costs from 323 to 375 hryvnias, and homemade bacon ranges from 215 to 289 hryvnias per kilogram.
Such comparisons help Ukrainians choose the optimal place for shopping and save money. However, it is worth remembering that market prices often allow for bargaining, which can also be an advantage for buyers.
