According to hvylya.net: From January to June 2025, the system of mandatory state pension insurance received 37.7 million UAH in voluntary contributions, reported the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

According to the PFU, since the beginning of 2025 until July 1, there have been 16,581 voluntary payments totaling 37.7 million UAH. This indicates a growing popularity among citizens who wish to secure themselves a decent pension in the future.

The majority of voluntary contributions – 14,324 payments – were made to accumulate personal insurance experience. Another 2,257 payers transferred funds for the benefit of other individuals, including family members or close ones.

A significant portion of payments, namely 11,303 (68%), were made at the minimum insurance contribution amount of 1,760 UAH. This indicates Ukrainians' choice of an affordable way to replenish their pension account.

Significant interest in voluntary insurance

Since the launch of the service in March 2023, over 43.3 thousand payments totaling 102.6 million UAH have been made through the PFU electronic services portal, indicating a steady increase in citizens' interest in voluntary pension insurance.

Voluntary contributions allow Ukrainians to increase their insurance experience and the amount of future pension, which is especially relevant amidst the reform of the country's pension system.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine reported that the number of voluntary contributions to the pension fund has increased, indicating a growing interest among Ukrainians in voluntary pension insurance. This is a positive signal that reflects the heightened awareness of citizens regarding the necessity of stable financial provision in the future.
