Ukrainians in Germany must declare their assets in Ukraine to receive assistance

Ukrainians receiving assistance from the Jobcenter in Germany must report their assets not only in the country of residence but also in Ukraine. This applies to accounts, real estate, cars, and other valuables. Against the backdrop of changes in social support rules, payments to Ukrainians in Germany depend on compliance with the Jobcenter requirements. This is reported by Visit Ukraine.

What property in Ukraine needs to be declared for Jobcenter

According to the Federal Employment Agency, starting from July 1, 2026, the Anlage VM form must be submitted not only during the initial application but also for the continuation of payments.

The declaration must specify assets that have monetary value. In particular:

• bank and savings accounts;

• securities, investments, and cryptocurrency;

• apartments, houses, and land plots;

• cars;

• insurance savings and other property.

The presence of an apartment, car, or savings in Ukraine does not automatically mean the cessation of assistance. What happens if you do not report assets

If a recipient of assistance does not declare assets and thereby receives more funds than entitled, the Jobcenter may recalculate payments and demand the return of the excess amount paid.
