The European Championship in classical chess among boys and girls was held in Budva (Montenegro). 35 Ukrainian chess players participated in the competition.
New champions
In the under-8 category, Myron Netrabka from Dnipro won with a perfect score of 9 points out of 9. In the under-10 category, Daria Kravchuk from Bucha also celebrated victory with an impressive score of 8 points.
We remind you that Ukraine entered the top 10 of the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, taking 10th place. The Ukrainian team's haul includes: 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.
This is the second most successful performance of Ukraine in the entire history of participation in the Festivals since 1993! The blue-yellow team has only won more medals in 2019 - then there were 25 awards.

Ukraine achieved a respectable 10th place in the overall medal standings, and this performance became the second most successful in the history of the country's participation in the Festivals.
