Ukrainians will be protected from spam and scammers: operators will be able to block fraudsters

Currently, business entities need to sign a contract with the operator and register the phone numbers from which calls will be made. If registration is not conducted, unregistered numbers may be automatically blocked by the operator's system. Soon, operators will also be able to block specific numbers at the request of users in case of spam calls.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has given telecommunications operators the ability to combat intrusive spam and advertising. Operators will be able to automatically block spam and potentially fraudulent calls. These changes will be implemented gradually to give companies time to prepare.

In addition to combating spam, the Ministry of Digital Transformation has made numerous changes in the telecommunications sector. Now, in the user's personal account, content services can be disabled without contacting the operator. Moreover, operators are required to clearly specify the internet speed in the contract with the subscriber to avoid violations in the provision of services.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation has provided telecommunications operators with the ability to combat spam by implementing a mechanism to block intrusive calls and making other changes aimed at improving the quality of telecommunications services for users.
