According to Главком: A Ukrainian woman, Kseniia Luhynia, has taken the top prize at the Miss Europe Continental Pageant 2026, held in Barcelona. Competing against nominees from 35 countries, she proudly represented Ukraine. During the competition, she showcased traditional Ukrainian attire, including an embroidered shirt (vyshyvanka) with a red necklace, and also appeared in a black dress. For the awards ceremony, she wore a red gown, a nod to her national identity.

'The crown is going to Ukraine. I made it. A girl with no connections or privileges, who simply believed in her dreams, now stands on an international stage with the Miss Europe crown. Separately, on January 5, in Wernigerode, Germany, another Ukrainian-Kateryna Wagner, a 40-year-old from Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region-also secured a title at the Mrs. Germany contest. This competition is open to women over 28, highlighting the growing emphasis on diversity and inclusion in modern beauty pageants.

Kseniia Luhynia also expressed her joy over the victory: 'I am happy to have had the honor of representing Ukraine with dignity at an international contest and bringing this title home. Ukraine is beauty, strength, dignity, and resilience. And I am happy to carry this message to the world.' She admitted she still cannot fully believe her success, stating: 'Do you believe it? I still feel like I'm in a dream.'

Together, both winners-Kseniia Luhynia and Kateryna Wagner-have become symbols of the strength and grace of Ukrainian women on the global stage, celebrating their country and showcasing its cultural heritage.
