2026 CMAS Freediving Worlds: Sadurska Wins Again in Roatan

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: In Roatan, Honduras, the CMAS 2026 world freediving championships are underway, and Ukraine's Kateryna Sadurska has added another gold to her collection. Freediving at this level demands a rare blend of physical conditioning and mental calm. The win came in the constant weight no-fins category, where her dive of 77 metres left the field behind. It marks her third medal of the competition and her second gold, following her triumph in the constant weight fins discipline at 108 metres.

The championship programme runs from 14 to 27 August and covers multiple depth disciplines.

Race Results and What They Mean

Italy's Alessia Zecchini took silver with 65 metres, while France's Jade Agboton earned bronze at 64 metres. Sadurska's winning margin over Zecchini was 12 metres. She also holds the current CMAS world record in constant weight no-fins, having previously reached 88 metres.

Beyond her personal achievements, Sadurska's performance at the world championship highlights the importance of solid backing for Ukrainian athletes on the international stage.

The competition in Honduras has brought together freedivers from several nations, reflecting the sport's expanding popularity. Sadurska's success could inspire a new generation in Ukraine to pursue freediving and other aquatic disciplines.
