According to Главком: Two Ukrainians participated in NCAA matches, while the men's national team of Ukraine achieved victory in the qualification match for the 2027 World Championship. In the latest competitions, Tetiana Tkachenko and Dasha Biriuk represented their universities in the American basketball league.
Performance of Ukrainian basketball players
Tetiana Tkachenko played 11 minutes in the match between VCU Rams and Saint Joseph's Hawks, which ended with a score of 45:55. She did not score points but made:

- 3 fouls
This season, Tetiana has played 12 matches, averaging 14.2 minutes on the court, scoring 4.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.8 assists.
Dasha Biriuk, who plays for Ohio State, spent 4 minutes on the court in the match against Purdue Boilermakers, which ended with a score of 83:56. She received 1 foul during this time. In the current season, Dasha has played 10 matches, averaging 12.2 minutes on the court, scoring 5.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.
Performance of the men's national team
The men's national team of Ukraine achieved a confident victory over Denmark with a score of 88:71 in the qualification match for the 2027 World Championship. Oleksandr Kovliar became the top scorer of the match, scoring 31 points. After two matches, Ukraine is among the top two teams in the group. The Ukrainian team also defeated Georgia in the first qualifying match for the World Championship, which ended with a score of 79:92. The next qualification window will take place in February 2026.
