New Laser Weapon System Revealed

According to НВ — Техно: Esh-Tech, a Ukrainian company, has introduced its latest laser weapon system named DroneLight, specifically engineered to destroy unmanned aerial vehicles. This system employs pulsed laser technology and is capable of taking out over 30 drones per minute, offering a rapid and efficient response to potential airborne threats. According to available data, each drone can be neutralized in just one to two seconds.

DroneLight Specifications

DroneLight is designed for short-range air defense operations. The system can engage targets at distances of up to 1 kilometer, making it highly valuable in modern combat scenarios. Its power consumption is approximately 4 kilowatts, an optimal level for military applications.

The first operational DroneLight unit is scheduled to be ready by September 2026. Mounted on a tracked armored vehicle, the system ensures mobility and protection during combat missions. Additionally, it can integrate with various sensors-including radar, acoustic, and optical detectors-to enhance its effectiveness in locating and eliminating drones.
