Iryna Budzynska shines at a Czech Challenger on the Continental Tour

According to Рубрика: Ukraine's Iryna Budzynska earned two podium finishes at a Continental Tour Challenger meeting in the Czech Republic. The Continental Tour is a global circuit of international track and field meetings, and this challenger-level stop provided another opportunity for athletes to strengthen their international rankings. Budzynska took gold in the long jump with a 6.25-meter effort that set a competition record, and she added silver in the 60-meter race in 7.52 seconds.

The long jump result came through a consistent series: after opening at 6.02 meters, she improved to 6.20 and then 6.25. Czech runner Pavla Kvasnickova won the women's 60 meters in 7.49 seconds, a personal mark for the 2026 season, with Klara Kaderova of the Czech Republic third in 7.57.

Ukraine places three high jumpers in the world top 10

After the world ranking update on August 25, Ukrainian high jumpers also featured prominently. Yaroslava Mahuchikh kept second place, Yulia Levchenko moved up to third, and Iryna Gerashchenko rejoined the ranking.

These performances underline the depth of Ukrainian women's athletics on the international stage and their ability to deliver notable results.

Budzynska's double success, together with the high jumpers' positions, points not only to individual talent but to the overall strength emerging in Ukraine. A new tournament record in the long jump also reflects rising competition and higher standards in this discipline.

The improved placings and medal results suggest continued development in Ukrainian track and field, which should help athletes in qualification cycles and preparation for future international competitions.

As Budzynska continues to excel on the international stage, it's worth noting that three Ukrainian athletes are now ranked among the world's top ten in high jump. This impressive achievement highlights the growing strength of Ukrainian track and field, showcasing a new generation of athletes who are making their mark globally.
