According to НОК: The European Youth Climbing Championship for lead climbing took place in Augsburg, Germany, drawing 287 competitors from 32 nations. Athletes competed across three age divisions: U17, U19, and U21. Ukraine was represented by a team of 10 climbers.

Outstanding Performances by Ukrainian Athletes

In the U19 category, Anastasiia Lukashina stood out with impressive results. After advancing through qualifications and securing third place in the semifinals, she went on to claim the bronze medal in the finals by successfully navigating 28+ holds. The top two positions were claimed by British climbers, who reached 36+ and 36 holds respectively.

Another Ukrainian contender in the U19 group, Rafail Kazbekova, achieved a commendable fourth place, completing 28 holds. Notably, Kazbekova was honored as Ukraine’s 'Best Young Athlete' by the National Olympic Committee in 2025. This championship serves as a critical stepping stone for emerging climbers aiming to reach higher competitive levels.
