The match, which lasted just under an hour, finished with a score of 6:1, 6:2. This was the first head-to-head meeting between Snigur and Swiatek on the professional circuit.

In the second set, Snigur jumped out to a 2:0 lead with a break, but she couldn't hold onto the advantage, dropping six consecutive games.
