Ukrainian acrobats fell from a height of 6 meters in a German circus: condition of the injured
Accident at the Stuttgart circus
According to Главком: In Germany, in Stuttgart, during a performance at the circus, an accident occurred in which the acrobat duo Flight of Passion, consisting of 19-year-old Daria and 49-year-old Dmitry, fell from a height of 5-6 meters. The incident took place in front of 2400 spectators who witnessed the traumatic moment.
The fall of the acrobats was severe, as indicated by eyewitnesses. One of them noted that
“they hit the ground with a thud”
- an eyewitness reported. Dmitry managed to get up a bit and stayed seated, while Daria remained motionless. As a result of the incident, Dmitry suffered a foot injury, while Daria felt pain in her back. Both acrobats were hospitalized in different medical facilities for further examination and treatment.
Acrobat Safety
Despite the severity of the fall, the acrobats' landing was cushioned by sawdust and carpets on the floor. This information was confirmed by Dalien Cohen, who stated that this might have reduced the injuries. The condition of the acrobats is currently unknown, but their treatment is ongoing.
This incident occurred during a circus show that attracted a large audience and raised serious concerns about the safety of acrobats during performances. Such cases may prompt circus event organizers to review safety regulations and ensure proper conditions for artists. It is expected that after their treatment, the acrobats will receive additional medical assistance and support in rehabilitation.
