Ukrainian Drones Attack Moscow: Russian Air Defense Claims to Have Shot Down 32 Drones
According to glavcom.ua: On the night of September 23, Ukrainian drones launched an attack on Moscow and the Moscow region. Russian air defense systems shot down 32 drones that were intercepted quite close to the city. This led to damage to vehicles and a temporary halt in operations at Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports. This was reported by the mayor of the Russian capital, Sergey Sobyanin, on the UA.news website.
According to local authorities, the drones were heading towards Moscow at night, and some attacked areas of the Moscow region. In Reutov, vehicles were damaged by drone debris, but no injuries to people were reported. In Istra, it was reported that four drones were repelled without consequences for residents.
Attacks Throughout Russia
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Ukrainian drones also attacked various regions of Russia, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Ryazan, Rostov, Samara, and Saratov, as well as the occupied Crimea.
As a result of the nighttime attacks by Ukrainian drones, some material damages occurred, but lives were saved. Such events once again confirm the tension in the military-political situation between Ukraine and Russia.
