Drone strikes on Russian oil refineries

According to ХВИЛЯ: Over the course of four days, the unmanned systems of Ukraine targeted four Russian oil refineries and the maritime terminal 'Tamani' in the Krasnodar region. This was reported by the commander of the SBP Robert Brovdiy with the call sign 'Madyar' on Telegram. The strikes covered facilities located from Ufa in Bashkortostan to Perm Krai.

In particular, on August 2, the Birds of the 1st separate SBP center struck the 'Bashneft' refinery in Ufa. On the same day, SBP co-operated with the 412th brigade and other units of the Defense Forces to hit the Saratov refinery. The first facilities that were hit included:

• 'Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka' in Volgograd on July 31, where the 1st SC and the 414th SBP brigade jointly attacked with the SBU and HUR;
• the maritime terminal 'Tamani' in the settlement of Volna in the Kuban, which was attacked on July 30;
• 'Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez' in Perm Krai.

At the maritime terminal 'Tamani', 12 tanks with a capacity of 5 thousand tons each were destroyed, corresponding to the volume of fuel equivalent to 1000 railway tank cars. The area of the fire at the terminal exceeded 17,000 square meters. Objective control footage from the affected facilities is being disseminated through OSINT channels on Telegram.

'The preparation by SBP Birds of oil tanks in the swamps continues unabated,' noted SBP commander Robert Brovdiy.

He also added that 'over the course of 4 days in the operational and strategic depth of the enemy, besides energy nodes, individual gnarled figures of the shadow fleet and bushes of purple wild berries, SBP pilots effectively struck 4 refineries and the maritime terminal 'Tamani.' The commander mentioned that 'the degree of suitability of 4 refineries is being assessed, the outskirts have been beautifully spoiled.' He also emphasized the duration of the operations around the Crimean vacations, indicating that it does not reflect the absence of SBP Birds in the strategic depth.

'We will stand firm. Moscow will fall,' summarized Robert Brovdiy, commander of SBP.

These strikes, executed by the drone forces, may significantly impact the fuel supply of Russian military and economic capabilities. By hitting critically important infrastructure, Ukraine demonstrates its ability to strike deep into enemy territory, which can influence the strategic situation in the region. The SBP commander's remark on the duration of operations indicates intentions to continue active actions in this direction, which may suggest a change in the tactics of Ukrainian forces in response to Russian aggressive actions.
