In this inaugural competition, the Ukrainian pair finished in 12th place. Nordic combined, which blends ski jumping and cross-country skiing, is a demanding and highly technical winter sport.

In the ski jumping segment, Oleksandr Shumbarets recorded a jump of 103 meters, earning 66.4 points, while Dmytro Mazurchuk jumped 93 meters for 63.4 points.
