Ukrainian cyber specialists attacked the infrastructure of Gazprom - media
Cyber specialists of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a cyber attack on the Russian 'Gazprom'. The attack resulted in severe damage to the company's network infrastructure, cutting off access to the system for thousands of administrators. Intelligence destroyed databases, backups, and other information of 'Gazprom' and its subsidiaries. An international alliance of countries took part in the operation against cybercriminals, according to current data from Russia, which attacked computers of the global network.
As a result of the large-scale cyber operation, 'Gazprom' incurred significant losses from data destruction and server disruptions. This is yet another example of the fight against cybercrime in the world, which is becoming more active and aimed at ensuring cybersecurity on the network.
