Teen Entrepreneurs Emerge from Ukraine’s Free MindCraft School

MindCraft School and Its Programs

According to Главком: MindCraft School, established by Kharkiv-based businessman Volodymyr Lytvyn through the Lytvyn Foundation charity, offers teenagers aged 13 to 17 free education in online business. Currently, the school is running its third cohort with 74 participants. Over the course of the program, students receive 117 hours of instruction, 90 training sessions, and 39 hours of hands-on practice.

Since its launch, MindCraft has trained more than 300 teenagers from across Ukraine. Top graduates from each cohort are eligible for grants to develop their own business projects. Recipients so far include:

• 14-year-old Eva, who launched a micro-task marketplace for high school students;
• 17-year-old Yevheniia, who created an online space for teens featuring courses in psychology and personal branding;
• 16-year-old Iryna, who received a grant for an EdTech kit aimed at children aged 4 to 7.

A total of seven graduates have secured funding to bring their ideas to life.

Supporting Young Entrepreneurs

Among the third cohort’s students is Ihor, who built an online chess school with tournaments and webinars. Other participants are advancing their own projects:

• Sabina is developing a brand for pet products;
• Andrii H. is creating a SaaS tool for managing appointments at studios and professional practices;
• Artem is driving sales through Telegram channels;
• Vladyslav has ventured into dropshipping on Shopify;
• Andrii M. is focused on building an online store constructor.

None of these entrepreneurs are older than 17.

Beyond the educational program, the Lytvyn Foundation organizes online hackathons called Code The Future. Nearly 200 participants have been invited to join both the course and the hackathon. The offline hackathon final is scheduled for June. Volodymyr Lytvyn stresses the value of starting a business early, stating:

If you want to run your own business empire by age 30 or 40, you need to start at 13. It’s an ideal age-no limitations or fears yet, you just take action. - Volodymyr Lytvyn

In this way, MindCraft School empowers young entrepreneurs by equipping them with the knowledge and resources needed to develop their own business ideas.

The MindCraft initiative is making a significant impact on the growth of young entrepreneurs in Ukraine, nurturing a new generation of business leaders capable of generating innovative concepts as teenagers. Through free education and grant support, students gain not only knowledge but also practical experience that paves the way for a successful start in business.
