This competition marked a milestone for the Ukrainian team, as it was the first international event in this series to feature a four-lane climbing wall.
During the qualification round, the Ukrainian duo posted the fourth-fastest time overall and the best among all European teams, setting a new continental record with a time of 10.31 seconds. In the bronze medal final, they outperformed Indonesia’s team, showcasing their elite skills. Notably, in May, Ilchyshyn had already set a European record in the individual event at the World Climbing Series stage in Wujiang, China, clocking 4.841 seconds.
