Defense plants in debt: Russian meetings revealed
Кризис в оборонній промисловості Росії: українські розвідники виявили втрату кадрів та боргові проблеми.

Critical State of Russia's Defense Sector Revealed

According to Главком: Ukrainian cyber volunteers and intelligence services have successfully infiltrated closed meetings of the Russian Federation's Ministry of Industry and Trade. Analysis of the acquired materials has uncovered a severe debt crisis within Russia's defense enterprises, coupled with a mass exodus of personnel, which is significantly hampering military equipment production. This intelligence coup provides a rare look into the internal financial strains facing Russia's war machine.

According to data presented at the meeting, the total budgetary debt of these enterprises exceeds 3.3 billion rubles. Furthermore, the backlog in wages owed to factory workers amounts to over 200 million rubles. These figures point to profound financial instability within Russia's defense sector, which could impair the country's capacity to manufacture necessary military hardware.

Ukraine Moves to Seize Russian Corporate Assets

Concurrently, Ukraine is intensifying efforts to confiscate assets belonging to Russian companies. The country's High Anti-Corruption Court has ruled in favor of a lawsuit filed by the Ministry of Justice to seize property from JSC Aviakor, one of Russia's most prominent aircraft manufacturers and a key part of its defense-industrial complex. As part of this ruling, aircraft parts for the An-140 plane, valued at approximately $1.5 million, have been confiscated.

These developments underscore the ongoing economic dimension of the conflict, highlighting Ukraine's strategy to target Russia's industrial and financial capabilities while defending its own sovereignty.

The financial difficulties plaguing Russian defense plants could severely undermine their ability to meet the demands of military operations, potentially affecting the trajectory of the conflict. For Ukraine, maintaining pressure on the economic front remains a crucial component of its strategy to counter the aggressor's resources and mitigate threats.
