According to НОК: The winter season is gaining momentum, and Ukrainian athletes continue to surprise with high results on the international stage. At the World Cup stages, two Ukrainians made it to the top 6!

In snowboarding, Annamari Danch took 6th place. During the qualification at the World Cup stage in Italian Carezza, she showed the sixth fastest time. Annamari managed to surpass Malena Zamfirova from Bulgaria and was only surpassed by the Austrian Sabine Payer, finishing in 6th place overall. This marks the fifth time she has reached the top 6 at World Cup stages in her career.

In skeleton, Vladislav Geraskevich took 5th place. After the first run at the fourth stage of the World Cup in Sigulda, Latvia, he dropped to 14th position. However, thanks to a successful second run, he climbed up 9 positions and finished in a high 5th place. This result became a record for Geraskevich at the track in Sigulda and is the third best result in his career at World Cup stages.

The Olympic season is in full swing, and there are 49 days left until the Games in Milan-Cortina. Each high result brings important points for obtaining Olympic licenses. Important final selection stages lie ahead for Ukrainian athletes, where the fate of Olympic quotas will be decided. The competition continues, so let's support our athletes together!

Tomorrow, December 20:

We cheer for Annamari Danch at the next stage in Swiss Davos.

Another World Cup stage will take place in Sigulda, where Ukraine will be represented by Vladislav Geraskevich and Yaroslav Lavrenyuk. Live broadcast on Public Sport at 18:00.
