Ukrainian Forces Strike Kamensky Plant in Russia’s Rostov Region, Damaging Four Production Halls
Kamensky Plant Targeted in Ukrainian Military Operation
According to Рубрика — Суспільство: During the night leading into October 31, Ukrainian troops launched an assault on the Kamensky industrial plant located in Russia’s Rostov region. The attack triggered a fire in the finished goods warehouse and caused damage to four of the facility’s production workshops. Ukrainian forces utilized strike drones alongside Neptune missiles fired from the Ukrainian Navy’s coastal missile systems to carry out the operation.
The Kamensky plant manufactures solid rocket fuel, a critical component used in munitions for multiple rocket launchers like the Uragan, Smerch, and Tornado-S, as well as various missile systems and aerial weapons. This strike forms part of Ukraine’s broader strategy to disrupt the Russian military’s supply and logistics networks.
Additional Ukrainian Strikes on Russian Military Assets
In addition to the Kamensky plant attack, Ukrainian forces targeted four Russian military supply depots near Khartsyzk and Dokuchaievsk in Donetsk, as well as locations in Novovasylivka in Zaporizhzhia and Novoaydar in Luhansk. These actions are ongoing within the wider armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Earlier, on October 29, Russian officials reported a drone strike involving 613 unmanned aerial vehicles targeting Moscow and the surrounding Moscow region. Around the same time, explosions and smoke were observed at the Bashkir Soda Company in Sterlitamak, Bashkortostan. On the night of October 28, blasts occurred at the Azot chemical plant in Novomoskovsk, Tula region, causing a fire. Azot is one of Russia’s largest producers of nitrogen fertilizers, which are also used in the manufacture of explosives.
Furthermore, Ukrainian defense forces launched a missile attack on the Energia factory in Yelets, Lipetsk region, registering at least seven direct hits and damaging two production buildings. These operations are conducted under Ukraine’s right to self-defense as outlined in Article 51 of the UN Charter.
The strike on the Kamensky plant and other Russian facilities marks a significant intensification of military engagements in the conflict zone, with both sides targeting strategically vital infrastructure. By focusing on crippling the opponent’s logistical capabilities, Ukrainian forces aim to weaken Russia’s military strength, which could influence the trajectory of ongoing combat operations. Such developments risk escalating tensions further and increasing instability across the region.
The recent strike on the Kamensky plant highlights a series of coordinated military actions by Ukrainian forces aimed at crippling Russian supply lines. This operation aligns with previous assaults on significant military targets across the Donbas and Russian territories.
