Ukrainian Midfielder Vladyslav Kocherhin Signs New Raków Deal Through 2027
Vladyslav Kocherhin's Extended Contract
According to Главком: Polish side Raków Częstochowa has secured midfielder Vladyslav Kocherhin on a fresh contract running until the summer of 2027. The agreement includes an option to extend for an additional season. His previous deal with the club was set to expire on June 30. Kocherhin first joined Raków in March 2022.
This season, the Ukrainian spent most of his time sidelined due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, only returning to action in April. Throughout the current campaign, he has made just two appearances without registering a goal or assist. Despite this setback, he has already helped Raków claim the Ekstraklasa title and the Polish Super Cup.
Developments in Ukrainian Football
In other news, Serhiy Rebrov has received an offer from Athens-based Panathinaikos in Greece. Meanwhile, Mykhailo Mudryk has been handed a multi-year suspension for doping, a decision made by the Football Association of England. Mudryk appealed the ruling at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on February 26.
Kocherhin's new contract underscores Raków's long-term commitment to the player, despite the challenges posed by his injury. It also reflects the club's faith in his abilities, which he has already demonstrated by winning major honors. At the same time, the stories of Rebrov and Mudryk highlight the evolving landscape for Ukrainian talent abroad, where players face both new hurdles and opportunities that could shape their careers.
As Kocherhin works to regain his form following injury, the situation for other Ukrainian players abroad also evolves. For instance, Dovbyk has recently returned to training with Roma after overcoming his own injury challenges. This highlights the resilience and determination of Ukrainian talent in navigating the ups and downs of professional football.
