According to Главком: Ukrainian midfielder Viktor Kovalenko has agreed to join Turkish second-tier side Mardin 1969 Spor, leaving Cypriot club Olympiakos Nicosia. The move comes as a free transfer, with the player signing a contract that secures his arrival without any transfer fee.

Kovalenko’s deal with Olympiakos was set to run until the summer, but he opted for a change after spending a year in the Cypriot league. He began the season with Aris Limassol-also as a free agent-before moving to Olympiakos during the winter window. There, he made 19 appearances in the Cypriot top flight and scored two goals.

The Ukrainian has previously played for several European clubs, including:
