Ukrainian Driver Hit Train at the Border with Poland: Accident Details
Near the Medyka-Rozwadow railway station, a Ukrainian minibus was involved in a collision with a train. The Mercedes Sprinter entered the tracks at the moment when the train was moving towards Przemyśl. Only the driver was injured and was taken to the hospital.
Police and rescuers were present at the scene. All circumstances of the accident are currently being clarified.
Poland has closed its border with Belarus due to Russian-Belarusian military exercises called 'Zapad-2025'. The movement of road and rail transport has been suspended in both directions. Poland is interested in reopening the border as soon as possible, but only under guarantees of the safety of Poles.
In light of the installation of barbed wire and fencing near the border, buses were left on the bridge between the countries. Poland has deployed about 40,000 soldiers in the eastern part of the country following a drone invasion, which has led to increased tension.
