Weather Shift and Safety Advice
A change in the weather pattern is expected from February 5th, when the severe frosts will begin to ease. However, they will be replaced by precipitation and strong, stormy winds. Following this brief warm-up, another wave of cold weather cannot be ruled out.
"The anticyclone is organizing dry weather - the map clearly shows how it's pulling frigid air directly to us from the Arctic. Right now, we are observing an ultra-polar invasion of cold," said meteorologist Natalia Didenko.
This extreme cold is a significant weather event for the region, capable of disrupting daily life. The anticipated deep freeze is likely to have a substantial impact on daily life, affecting transport and utility services, which must be prepared for widespread ice and sub-zero temperatures. Given the forecast, it is crucial for citizens to follow safety precautions and exercise extreme caution on roads and walkways.
The shift to milder weather after February 5th may also bring its own hazards with inclement conditions, requiring attention from anyone planning travel or outdoor activities.
