Ukraine is hit by heat up to 37 degrees: where thunderstorms and heavy rains are expected

Today, September 1, expect cloudy weather with brief rain in Ukraine. This is forecasted by meteorologists from the Ukrhydrometcentre, reports Glavcom.

In the southern part of the country, as well as in the center, east, and Sumy region, brief rains with thunderstorms are possible. In other regions, precipitation is not forecasted. The air temperature at night will be 13-18°, in the south up to 21°, during the day 26-31°, and in the east up to 34°, where it may be hot even up to 37°.

The wind will mainly be from the northeast at a speed of 5-10 m/s.

It is also worth noting that in the Poltava region, a storm has led to power outages in dozens of settlements and caused damage to some buildings and trees, reported the head of the Poltava OVA, Volodymyr Kohut.

According to PJSC 'Poltavaoblenergo', the bad weather caused power outages in 26 settlements. 938 legal entities and 9211 household subscribers in various communities of Poltava region were left without electricity. Emergency crews are actively working to restore electricity.

According to meteorologists' forecasts, we expect variable weather in Ukraine with brief rains, especially in the southern regions. It is advisable to be careful and prepare for possible bad weather and outages in the power grid.
