Ukrenergo introduces electricity consumption restrictions from December 3
Electricity Consumption Restrictions in Ukraine
According to ХВИЛЯ: The National Energy Company 'Ukrenergo' has announced electricity consumption restrictions in Ukraine, which will come into effect from December 3. This decision was made due to the consequences of Russian attacks on energy facilities, which led to the need to reduce the load on the power grid.
Shutdown Schedules and Recommendations
The electricity consumption restrictions will be in effect around the clock, from 00:00 to 23:59. As part of these restrictions, shutdown schedules will be implemented, which will be applied according to established queues. The volume of restrictions will range from 0.5 to 3 queues. The power limitation schedules will also apply to industrial consumers, who must adhere to the established timeframes.
In light of these changes, 'Ukrenergo' recommends that consumers prepare for potential blackouts. It is advisable to:
- stock up on water and food;
- charge electronic devices;
- consider alternative sources of light.
These measures will help reduce inconveniences that may arise due to electricity supply restrictions.
These restrictions signify the ongoing crisis in Ukraine's energy sector caused by external threats. Given the current military situation, the stability of energy networks becomes critically important to ensure the country's functionality, especially in winter when electricity consumption traditionally increases. The readiness of the population for possible electricity supply disruptions is also vital, emphasizing the need for active citizen involvement in crisis preparedness.
