Weather Forecast for July 5

According to Главком: On July 5, Ukraine will experience variable cloudiness along with brief showers and thunderstorms across most regions. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (Ukrhydromettsentr), overnight precipitation and storms are expected in the eastern areas, the Azov Sea region, Crimea, and parts of the northwest. During the day, rain and thunderstorms will spread over much of the country, except for the south and southeast.

Conditions and Safety Advice

Winds will come from the northwest at 7–12 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will range from 11°C to 16°C, reaching up to 19°C along the coast. Daytime highs will be between 21°C and 26°C, with cooler readings of 18–23°C in the northeast.

In Kyiv, the forecast calls for variable clouds, no rain overnight, and isolated brief showers during the day. The capital will see lows of 14–16°C and highs of 22–24°C.

Due to these conditions, Ukrhydromettsentr has declared a yellow danger level (Level I) for July 5. Additionally, from July 4 through July 6, an extreme fire hazard is in effect across most of Ukraine's regions, demanding heightened caution.

Late June brought an African heatwave to Ukraine, with temperatures soaring to 38°C. Residents should stay alert to shifting weather patterns and follow safety precautions.

It is crucial that citizens adhere to safety guidelines during thunderstorms and heavy rain. Moreover, the elevated fire risk amid abnormal temperatures could create dangerous situations, so caution is advised when using open flames or engaging in other potentially hazardous activities.

As the weather conditions evolve, it's essential to stay informed about potential hazards. For instance, earlier this month, the Ukrainian Weather Agency issued a warning regarding thunderstorms and hail expected on June 10, which serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of summer storms. Keeping track of these developments can help ensure safety during adverse weather events.
