Ukrzaliznytsia announced three new trains to Poland: where you can travel with a transfer

Ukrzaliznytsia announced three trains to Poland, expanding international railway connections. These include routes from Kyiv to Chelm and Przemyśl, as well as from Dnipro to Przemyśl. One of them will become the flagship train. The company’s press service reports.

Train No. 23/24 Kyiv – Chelm has been named after Mykhailo Hrushevskyi. It will consist of modern high-comfort cars manufactured in Ukraine during the full-scale war.

The Kyiv – Chelm train is named in honor of Hrushevskyi

The name of the flagship train connects two significant cities for the historian. Mykhailo Hrushevskyi was born in Chelm and worked in Kyiv for nearly 20 years. He led the Ukrainian Central Council, which adopted the IV Universal on the independence of the Ukrainian People’s Republic.

The departure of the train will be accompanied by the composition of the band MUR "Our time has come". Ukrzaliznytsia explained that this aims to emphasize the idea of fighting for a united and free Ukraine.

Two other trains will connect Ukrainian cities with Przemyśl. This station remains an important hub for further travels across Europe, particularly on the route Przemyśl – Frankfurt.

Trains to Przemyśl: schedule and transfers

Train No. 31/32 Kyiv – Przemyśl will depart from the capital at 21:30 and arrive in the Polish city at 08:19. The Ukrainian section includes stops in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, and Lviv.

According to the carrier, the schedule provides convenient connections with trains to Berlin, Prague, Krakow, Katowice, and Wrocław. Thus, passengers will be able to continue their journey to Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany after transferring.

Train No. 73/74 Dnipro – Przemyśl will depart at 19:00 and arrive at 14:10. Among the stops are Kamianske, Piatykhatky, Oleksandriia, Znamyanka, and Lviv. In Przemyśl, passengers are offered transfers to flights to Krakow, Warsaw, Prague, and Munich.
