Ukrzaliznytsia appoints an additional train

An additional train will now run between Kyiv and Chernihiv. This information was published by Ukrzaliznytsia, reported by Hlavkom.

The additional train No. 702/701 Kyiv – Chernihiv will run on July 27 and August 1, 2, 3

The first will depart from the capital at 9:11 and arrive in Chernihiv at 11:34. The return journey will start at 13:50 from Chernihiv and end at 16:15 in Kyiv. Stops: Vidubychy, Darnytsia, Nizhyn, im. Borys Oliinyk (smt Kulykivka).

New animal transportation rules

Train cars will have air-conditioned sections and first and second class seating. Single seats will be by the window, and double seats will be by the aisle.

Large dogs (over 45 cm at the withers) can now travel across Ukraine in all types of cars:

• in fast trains 'Intercity+' on the condition that all seats in a block are purchased in the row. Dogs must be on the floor next to their owner;
• in 'Lux' class sleeping cars and international 'RIC' (RIC) cars, all seats in a compartment need to be purchased.

Service dogs of defense representatives can travel free in all types of cars but must have a muzzle and leash.

Small animals (cats and small breed dogs up to 45 cm at the withers) during travel:

• can stay in the compartment without a carrier if all seats in the compartment are purchased;
• it is not necessary to use a 'hard structure' carrier, a modern carrying bag or backpack is sufficient;
• must have a carrier or a container with a waterproof bottom for transportation.

In all cases, passengers must have veterinary documents for the animal, a ticket for the animal, a leash, and a muzzle (for large dogs - throughout the trip); taking care of the comfort of the animals and the environment.

If a passenger is concerned about discomfort or an allergic reaction to an animal, they can contact the conductor or steward, and the train crew will offer another comfortable place for travel.

Ukrzaliznytsia announced the launch of an additional train between Kyiv and Chernihiv on specific dates. New animal transportation rules were also presented, allowing for more convenient travel with pets in various types of cars.
