Ukrzaliznytsia has appointed additional trains Kyiv — Lviv: when will they depart

According to hvylya.net: Ukrzaliznytsia is preparing to introduce new trains for passengers in August 2025. One of the most popular routes - Kyiv-Lviv - will become even more accessible thanks to additional services. Instead of standing idle in the depot, the wagons will immediately begin new journeys, increasing efficiency.

'Kyiv-Lviv remains one of the most popular destinations, which is why we are introducing additional services on specific dates. This has been made possible by optimizing the use of wagons: they will immediately begin new journeys after arriving from the main route, without visiting the depot'

Additional services are scheduled for the following dates in August:

№ 249/250 Kyiv - Lviv

• August 18 and 19

№ 243/244 Kyiv - Lviv

• August 16, 17, 20

№ 775/776 Kyiv - Vinnytsia

• August 31

All these services will be performed by trains with regular sleeping cars, but with sitting places. Tickets can already be purchased in the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile application, on the ticket booking site, and at the railway station ticket offices.
