According to glavcom.ua: In Donetsk, during the performance of their official duties, enemy shelling led to the death of a train driver and an assistant driver of the locomotive. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the head of 'Ukrzaliznytsia', Alexander Persotskiy.
Alexander Persotskiy emphasized that the enemy is shelling absolutely civilian objects with the intent to cause harm. Despite the constant danger, railway workers in Donetsk and other combat zones continue to fulfill their duties.
Alexander Persotskiy expressed sincere condolences regarding the losses: '...I have not learned to accept these losses. With specific colleagues, I may not be personally acquainted, but when you read about those born in 1994 and 1973, parents, children... so much ahead, the feeling of loss is that of absolutely close people. Parts of a large team and part of a big family.'
We remind you that as a result of last year, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' incurred 2.7 billion UAH in net losses. This forced the company to lay off a quarter of its administrative staff. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the chairman of the company's board, Alexander Persotskiy, in a comment for Forbes.
