The company 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has announced innovations in the schedule and routes of international trains that run to Hungary and Austria. From August 25 to September 20, 2025, the Hungarian railway will conduct repair works at the Budapest-Kelati station, so there will be temporary changes. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to 'Ukrzaliznytsia'.
- Train No. 9/10 Kyiv – Budapest – Kyiv: During the repairs, the train will depart from Budapest-Nyugati station instead of the usual Kelati.
- Train No. 143/146 Chop – Vienna – Chop: The stop at Kelati station will be canceled. Instead, the only stop in Budapest will be at Kelenfeld station.
Delays and recommendations for passengers
'Ukrzaliznytsia' warns that delays on these routes can already be expected. Passengers are asked to take these changes into account when planning their trips and purchasing tickets. Delays on the Hungarian direction are more than an hour, and on the Austrian direction - up to three hours.
'Ukrzaliznytsia' assures that the Nyugati and Kelenfeld stations provide convenient connections to other areas of Budapest and will not cause serious inconveniences to passengers.
