New international routes of Ukrzaliznytsia

Ukrzaliznytsia has announced the launch of new international routes to Germany, Poland, and Austria, as well as updates to existing routes. From December 2025, the cross-border connection between Germany and Poland will increase by 54%, indicating an expansion of travel opportunities.

Details of the new routes

Among the new services:

  • Train No. 51K from Kyiv to Przemyśl will arrive at 05:00, after which passengers can transfer to train EC134 Via Regia, which departs from Przemyśl to Leipzig at 07:12.
  • Train No. 63/64 from Kharkiv to Przemyśl will arrive at 16:59, with a subsequent transfer to EN417 Carpatia, which departs to Prague and Munich at 17:51.
  • Train No. 31/32 from Zaporizhzhia to Przemyśl will arrive at 08:18, with a subsequent transfer to EC58 Galicja, which proceeds to Berlin at 09:09.
  • Train No. 119/120 from Dnipro to Chełm will arrive at 18:08, after which passengers will be able to transfer to train No. 440 to Ustka at 18:18, with a further transfer in Warsaw Central.

From December 14, Ukrzaliznytsia will also launch trains from Berehove and Chop to Hungarian cities. The train to Budapest will pass through the Ferihegy station. Additionally, a night route Uzhhorod - Vienna is being introduced. Departure from Uzhhorod is scheduled for 23:19, arriving in Vienna at 08:53. Conversely, the train from Vienna departs at 19:08 and arrives in Uzhhorod at 06:15.

These innovations aim to improve international connections and streamline travel for passengers, providing more opportunities for comfortable and fast trips to European countries.

The launch of new international routes and the update of existing routes by Ukrzaliznytsia opens new opportunities for Ukrainian citizens, ensuring easier access to European countries. This may positively impact tourist flows and economic ties between Ukraine and its neighbors.

Considering the trend towards increased cross-border connections, it can be expected that these changes will promote the development of international transport and the improvement of infrastructure in Ukraine.
