Updated Suburban Train Timetables
According to Главком: Ukraine's state railway operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, will implement changes to its suburban train schedules on April 11 and 12, introducing new services and stops, according to a company press release. These adjustments are part of ongoing efforts to modernize regional rail services.
Starting April 11, two new daily suburban trains will be added to the network, connecting the Kharkiv and Poltava regions:
- Train No. 6357 will depart from Ohultsi at 11:17 and arrive at Bozhkove at 12:55;
- Train No. 6358 will depart from Bozhkove at 13:15 and arrive at Ohultsi at 15:01.
Also from April 11, Train No. 6242, which runs the route from Hrebinka to Bakhmach-Pasazhyrskyi, will operate on a new schedule, departing at 09:47 and arriving at 14:05.
Enhanced Passenger Services
Furthermore, from April 12, Train No. 6202, connecting Kozyatyn-1 with Fastiv-1, will make a new stop at Sestrynivka station from 04:13 to 04:14. Passengers can also now purchase discounted tickets online from a special quota for people with disabilities. Students will have the option to buy concessionary tickets for suburban trains and City Express services via the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile app.
When purchasing tickets, passengers can pre-order food, drinks, sweets, books, and even dog treats for their journey. In related news, a direct rail link between Kyiv and Varna, Bulgaria, could be launched in early summer, with an estimated travel time of up to 30 hours via Romania.
The schedule revisions reflect Ukrzaliznytsia's commitment to improving passenger service and ensuring convenient regional transport links. The additional trains and new stops are expected to boost the popularity of rail travel, particularly as demand grows for comfortable and accessible transportation options.
As Ukrzaliznytsia enhances its services with new train schedules, it's also important for passengers to take advantage of the recently introduced online ticket discounts for students, available in 19 regions across Ukraine. This initiative not only makes travel more affordable for students but also complements the railway operator's commitment to modernizing and improving the overall passenger experience.
