Today, July 3, Uman held a farewell for the commander of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Mark Bezruchko, Colonel Sergey Zakharievich, who was 42 years old. This information is provided by 'Hlavkom' with reference to 'Suspilne Cherkasy'.
The military was killed as a result of a missile strike by the Russian Federation on Hulyaipole in Dnipropetrovsk region.
On July 1, the commander of this brigade, Colonel Sergey Zakharievich, was already killed. The tragic loss was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, and Brigadier General Sergey Sobko.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine expressed deep condolences, calling Colonel Zakharievich 'an officer of honor, a leader respected by his comrades-in-arms and trusted by his subordinates'. The General Staff emphasized that Ukraine has lost 'another representative of the new generation of Ukrainian officers, who grew in battle and became examples of courage and initiative military leadership'.
President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his condolences and mentioned that he spent the whole day clearing the rubble after the strike on Hulyaipole, where there were losses among both military and civilians.
Uman bids farewell to the brigade commander who was killed as a result of a missile strike by the Russian Federation. The tragedy occurred just a few days after the previous commander of this brigade was killed.
