Umerov reported to Zelensky about negotiations with the USA and Europe: meeting on January 3rd

According to Главком: On December 31, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, reported to President Volodymyr Zelensky about the results of a phone conversation with partners from the USA and Europe. The American side included:

• Senator Marco Rubio,
• State Department representative Steve Vitkoff,
• Advisor to former President Jared Kushner.

From the European side, advisors on national security from Great Britain, Germany, and France participated in the negotiations.

Announcement of the meeting with European partners

Umerov also announced a meeting with European partners scheduled for January 3rd. Representatives from more than 10 countries, as well as NATO, the European Commission, and the European Council, are expected to participate. American partners will join the meeting online.

“We are separately preparing a meeting with European partners on January 3rd in the format of national security advisors,” noted Rustem Umerov.

He also added: “In the new year, we will continue working on solutions that should yield tangible results.”

This meeting underscores the importance of international support for Ukraine amid ongoing aggression. The involvement of representatives from key European countries and the USA indicates an intensification of diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening security in the region. Collaborative work on new initiatives could enhance the effectiveness of responses to the challenges facing Ukraine and strengthen cooperation with international partners.
