The government will compensate expenses for IDPs: what changes await institutions and communities

According to Кабмін: The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliya Svyrydenko announced that the government has decided to reimburse institutions that temporarily provide free accommodation to internally displaced persons. This initiative aims to improve the living conditions of IDPs and ensure they have decent living conditions.
The main points of the new decision include:
- compensation will be provided even in cases where a person does not yet have IDP status and is restoring documents;
- the actual time spent by IDPs in temporary accommodation will be taken into account;
- a simplified process for confirming expenses will include only receipts and invoices without additional requests;
- an increase in the norm of social housing area for heating compensation.
“It is important that people who have been forced to leave their homes due to Russian aggression have decent and comfortable living conditions, and that institutions and communities receive the necessary tools for this”
Thus, the government is taking a step towards improving the living conditions of IDPs and providing them with the necessary support.
The government compensates institutions for the accommodation of internally displaced persons to improve living conditions and ensure decent conditions.
