According to him, the minimum wage will remain at the current level of 8000 UAH per month. The budget for this year does not provide for an increase in the minimum wage; it will remain at the same level as it is now.

The draft law on the increase remains unconsidered

A draft law No. 12462 has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada, which provides for a phased increase in the minimum wage over the year. However, this document is still being processed in the committee, and its adoption is unlikely, notes the publication 'Hvylya'.

How the minimum wage changed in 2024

In 2024, the minimum wage increased twice: from January 1 to 7100 UAH and from April 1 to 8000 UAH. According to the law on the State Budget-2025, the minimum wage amounts will remain unchanged.

The minimum subsistence level also unchanged

In 2025, the minimum subsistence level will be 2920 UAH for the general indicator, 3028 UAH for working-age persons, 2361 UAH for persons with lost working capacity, 2563 UAH for children under 6 years old, and 3196 UAH for children aged 6 to 18 years. The decision to maintain the minimum wage is related to the current military situation and the need to allocate budget funds for the country's defense needs.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine reported that the government does not plan to increase the minimum wage in 2025. Also, the Verkhovna Rada has not yet considered the draft law on the phased increase of the minimum wage, which is due to the low likelihood of its adoption this year.
