Ukraine’s Cabinet gives second approval to Customs Code, forwards it to parliament

Draft Customs Code moves forward

According to Кабмін: For the second time, Ukraine’s government has endorsed the draft Customs Code and submitted it to the Verkhovna Rada. Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky announced the development, stressing that the updated version of the code is essential for the country’s European integration. The aim is to transform Ukraine’s customs service into a modern, security-oriented border modeled on European standards.

“We are resuming a detailed dialogue with lawmakers on the new draft Customs Code,” Koretsky stated.

He added that this bill is one of the cornerstones of the EU integration process and expressed hope for efficient, productive collaboration with deputies on every provision of the document.
