Government Extends Distribution of Portable Power Stations to Children with Disabilities
Budget Reallocation Supports Children with Disabilities
According to Пенсії (RSS): The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a reallocation of state budget funds to continue purchasing and delivering portable charging stations for children with disabilities classified under subgroup A. This move ensures that families who applied for a charging station during the earlier phase but did not receive one will now get the necessary equipment.
The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine will handle the procurement of these portable power stations. The initiative to provide subgroup A children with disabilities with portable charging stations was launched earlier this year, with the first batch of equipment reaching families in February.
Why This Program Matters
This decision marks a significant step in ensuring reliable access to electricity for children with disabilities, which can greatly ease their daily routines and education. The program’s extension reflects the government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable populations-a priority that has become even more critical amid ongoing challenges.
Moreover, the program underscores the importance of social protection and inclusion for children with disabilities in society.
In addition to the government's efforts to provide essential equipment, Kyiv has launched a summer camp initiative aimed at enriching the lives of children with disabilities. This program not only complements the distribution of portable power stations but also emphasizes the importance of creating inclusive opportunities for these children, fostering both social interaction and personal development during the summer months.
