The government extended payments for IDPs until 2026: who and in what amount
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to extend housing assistance for internally displaced persons (IDPs) for another six months. This concerns socially vulnerable categories of IDPs who lost their right to payments after the previous term ended in August.
New payment conditions and key changes
The Ministry of Social Policy reported that payments will be automatically extended in accordance with the resolutions of the CMU No. 332 and No. 709. The amount of monthly payments is 2000 hryvnias for an adult and 3000 hryvnias for a child or a person with a disability. The innovations also involve the easing of criteria for certain categories of citizens. For example, having funds in a deposit account exceeding 100 thousand hryvnias is no longer an obstacle for the appointment of assistance.
Priority recipients and restrictions
The main categories of recipients include Ukrainians displaced from combat zones or those who lost their housing due to Russian aggression. Special status is also given to groups such as persons with disabilities and families with non-working members. At the same time, there are restrictions, for example, the loss of the right to assistance for IDPs who have been abroad for more than 30 days or who have substantial amounts of money in their bank accounts.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended housing assistance for internally displaced persons until February 2026. This decision concerns socially vulnerable categories of IDPs who lost their right to payments after the previous term ended in August. The Ministry of Social Policy stated that payments will be automatically extended and innovations will be introduced, allowing more citizens to receive assistance.
