The government is rebooting the supervisory boards of key energy companies: what does it mean

According to Мін. Економіки: The Government of Ukraine continues to actively restructure the supervisory boards of key companies in the fuel and energy complex. The new decision involves selecting candidates from among state representatives to these boards.

The interdepartmental commission will be involved in the selection and appointment of new members to the supervisory boards. Moreover, the resignation of current board members in companies such as LLC 'Operator of the Gas Transmission System of Ukraine', JSC 'Centrenergo', JSC 'Ukrainian Distribution Networks', JSC 'Energy Company of Ukraine' and JSC 'Market Operator' is also foreseen.

It should be noted that new members of the supervisory boards must be elected by the end of 2025. In addition, the government has instructed the Minister of Defense to carry out the rebooting of boards in enterprises of the defense sector.
