He has been appointed as the new Deputy Head of the State Agency of Water Resources. This move is part of a broader series of personnel decisions approved by the government, reflecting ongoing adjustments within the state apparatus. These changes are typical as the government seeks to align expertise with strategic priorities.

Among other recent appointments, Anastasiia Sofienko has been approved as Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine. She earned her Candidate of Economic Sciences degree in 2020, having defended her dissertation at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

New Appointments Across Government

The government also approved several other key appointments. Vitalii Vitaliiovych Bihun was appointed head of the Brovary District State Administration in Kyiv Oblast, while Oleksandr Dmytrovych Horin became head of the Fastiv District State Administration. Andrii Borysovych Stashkiv was named Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, and Roman Vasyliovych Svystun was appointed Deputy Head of the Ternopil Regional State Administration.

Viktor Kantsurak brings extensive public sector experience to his new role. His educational background includes diplomas from the International Institute of Business, Management, and Law; Donetsk State University; and the State Environmental Academy for Postgraduate Education and Management. He holds qualifications as an economist, lawyer, and environmental specialist, and is also a Candidate of Philosophical Sciences.

Kantsurak's career spans various government positions, including roles as Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine and Deputy Head of the State Environmental Inspection. Most recently, he served as State Secretary of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. His diverse background suggests he is being placed in a role that intersects management and environmental policy.

These government changes illustrate the dynamic nature of personnel appointments, which can impact the operations of various state structures in Ukraine. The reshuffling is seen as an effort to optimize management and potentially improve the efficiency of public administration. The appointment of new specialists to key positions may facilitate the implementation of new initiatives and enhance the quality of public services in sectors such as education and environmental management.
