New Government Measures Boost Defense and Economic Stability

According to Кабмін: This week, the Cabinet approved a series of strategic decisions aimed at strengthening national defense, the economy, and social support. Among the key moves is the launch of a controlled arms export initiative, branded as the Drone Deal, allowing Ukrainian-made weapons to be sold to partner nations. Additionally, a transparent recruitment system for foreign volunteers has been introduced, designed to bring in fresh resources for the country's protection.

A major milestone came with the receipt of the first €3.9 billion tranche from the European Union, earmarked for defense. The World Bank also contributed $600 million for social welfare programs, set to benefit over one million Ukrainians across 18 different areas. For entrepreneurs whose assets have been destroyed, a new recovery support program has been rolled out, offering loans of up to 150 million hryvnias at an annual interest rate of just 0.1% for the first two years. This initiative is an extension of the existing Affordable Loans 5-7-9% program.
