Ukraine Streamlines Employee Reservations via Diia Portal for Critical Businesses
Enhanced Electronic Reservation Mechanism
According to Главком: Ukraine has upgraded its electronic system for reserving military-eligible personnel from mobilization through the Diia state portal. A key improvement is the automatic renewal of reservation status for businesses deemed critically important, eliminating the need to cancel a previous status first. This change significantly simplifies the process for employers. The Diia portal is a central digital platform for government services in Ukraine, widely used by citizens and businesses.
Previously, extending an employee's reservation required employers to first cancel the existing status and then submit a new application. Now, renewal happens automatically without cancellation and is completed within 24 hours. This service is available to companies that have timely confirmed their status as critically important for the nation's needs. Company directors, authorized signatories, or other designated individuals can submit applications, provided the business is listed in the Unified Register.
Benefits of the New Service
The Diia portal offers electronic reservation for employees subject to military service. The service removes human error and speeds up processing, as checks are performed automatically between government registries. Businesses with a status critical to supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine can use this new feature. Applications can also be submitted online using a qualified electronic signature. The status of an application will be visible in the applicant's personal account.
Vitalii Kindrativ noted: 'This decision allows critically important enterprises to ensure business continuity and retain key specialists without unnecessary administrative procedures.'
The Ministry of Economy also emphasized that 'the process is now seamless: if an employee has a valid reservation and the authority that confirmed the company's critical status remains unchanged, the renewal occurs automatically without cancellation and takes up to 24 hours.'
To use the service, you must:
- log in to the Diia portal;
- select the 'Extension of Employee Reservations' service;
- verify the company's data;
- add employees for extension;
- sign the application.
When submitting the application, it is necessary to select the category 'Employees with a violation of military registration.' This innovation aims to simplify procedures for critical businesses and increase the efficiency of reserving military-eligible personnel.
The enhancement of the electronic reservation mechanism is a significant step in supporting vital enterprises during wartime challenges. Automating these processes greatly reduces administrative barriers, allowing companies to focus on their core activities and ensuring operational stability. This new approach reflects the state's drive to optimize reservation procedures, which could positively impact the economy as a whole.
In addition to the recent enhancements for critical businesses, the Diia portal now addresses employee reservation challenges related to military registration discrepancies. This new feature further streamlines the process, ensuring that companies can navigate complex regulations while maintaining essential workforce continuity.
