The government will allocate 120 billion for education: what else will be funded in communities

Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko spoke about the intentions of the state budget for 2026 - significant support for local communities. At a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, he emphasized the importance of this step.

Among the important funding points for local budgets were additional subsidies of 36.5 billion UAH, compensation for heating costs of 15.0 billion UAH, as well as funding for education and basic subsidies.

'It is necessary to rationally allocate the financial resources of the budget system to effectively use them in all areas of life, taking into account modern challenges,' the finance minister emphasized.

In addition, the law on the state budget for the next year provides for 15 billion UAH to provide housing for internally displaced persons. The calculation of horizontal equalization has already been made according to the Budget Declaration, but final decisions will be made later.

The above actions indicate the government's great attention to the needs of local communities, which will receive significant support next year. The additional allocated funds are intended to promote the social and economic development of regions and improve the quality of life of their residents.
